Idiot logic
I recently saw this on Tumblr:
Woman: Can I have birth control?
Government: No.
Woman: I got pregnant because I didn't have birth control and I don't want the fetus. Can I have an abortion?
Government: No.
Woman: I gave birth to my child but since I wasn't expecting it, I can't afford daycare. Can I have help paying for it?
Government: No.
WTF? Dear Woman: No, you can't have these things because we've alreday paid the Government to provide you with what you can have. For instance, you can have Sex Education so that you know better than to take this risk to begin with and are aware of what will happen if you don't. You can have the freedom to make your own choices even if they are not in your best interests. You can also have the responsibilty to deal with the consequences of those choices without expecting the government to bail you out. The governments job is to run countries, not save citizens from having to think or plan for themselves and clean up when they don't. If you don't want to pay for your own contraception (or can't) then choose not to have sex and take care of your mess when the inevetable occurs. I help pay for the Government but I don't want to pay because you can't control yourself or own up to your own mistakes.
